De Mazda MX-5 Cup werkt tijdens de Zandvoort Superprix het eerste raceweekend van 2020 af. Het circuit in de duinen is de afgelopen periode op de schop gegaan, voorafgaand aan de Dutch GP waardoor de baan voor praktisch iedereen nieuw was. Het wisselvallige weer met buitjes, zon en een flinke wind maakte het voor de rijders verre van eenvoudig.
